Kids' Club – Bude Junior Surf Academy (8-18yrs)
Every week throughout the summer season, (May to end October), we run a surf club for local kids of all abilities including those who have never surfed before and those who surf at British Team level. 
The emphasis is on learning (and having fun) and we cover all aspects of surfing from safety to competition tactics.
With the younger / less experienced surfers we concentrate on safety, good basic technique, building confidence and having fun whilst our improvers and intermediates learn more technical aspects and build on their knowledge and understanding of surfing, the sea and beach safety. For the more advanced group we offer video analysis, competition training and encourage them to push their abilities within a safe coaching environment.
We offer weekly prizes supplied by our sponsors Gul, Fat Face and Bloc Eyewear as well as end of year awards for the most improved surfer in each group. Most JSA sessions are run by BSA level 4 & British Team Coach Jon Price. Current price is just £6.50 per 2 hour lesson payable in blocks of 4 or 5 sessions.
Current and past Junior Surf Academy members include; Lyndon Wake, (now a British Team member), Robert Merchant-Greenslade, (RipCurl Grom Search finalist), Ben Heslop, (Old Smithy Surf Classic winner), and Lenard Cox, (Old Smithy Surf Classic Winner).
