Bude and the surrounding area offer the visitor everything from the scenery of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor, and the tranquil fishing villages of Clovelly, Padstow, Appledore and Port Isaac, to sites of historic interest such as Stamford Hill battleground, Tintagel and Launceston Castle. As well as major attractions like the Eden Project and adventure and fun parks such as The Milky Way, The Big Sheep and Killarney Springs, there are also many good pubs, restaurants and nightclubs.

Bude is often described as the quieter alternative to Newquay. If commercialism, endless arcades and touristy gift shops are something you want to avoid then Bude may well be what you’re looking for. Don’t be mistaken, as we’ve already said, there’s plenty of nightlife but there’s also plenty of peace and quiet.
